Up to 75,000, company car, fuel card and excellent benefits

Milton Keynes, hybrid

We're looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified Company Auditor to join a leading automotive business based in Milton Keynes.

This is a standalone role, reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Operations. You will provide the support to enable the business to operate successfully and achieve its corporate objectives both today and in the future. You will maintain a robust system of internal control within the business and with external stakeholders.

This role will include traveling to different sites and will include some overnight stays.

As Company Auditor your duties will include:

  • Risk Management framework: Embed the concept and keep risk registers for key areas across the business updated to form part of an ongoing risk framework.
  • Perform internal audits designed to evaluate risk and test internal controls
  • Identify opportunities for best practices and more efficient operational processes
  • Perform on-site dealer audit reviews in UK & Ireland
  • Present detailed audit reports to the Finance Director with findings and recommendations
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Setting up the audit process and selecting items for review
  • Reviewing each discrepancy in detail with the dealer
  • Detecting and reporting on fraudulent activities

What skills, experience and personal attributes are we looking for?

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Internal audit experience in large blue chip/corporate business
  • Attainment of minimum numerical and verbal reasoning scores
  • Knowledge, understanding or exposure to core principles of Accounting, audit and risk management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, notably Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to relate effectively with individuals at all different levels
  • Flexible in approach, with the ability to reprioritise and effectively meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • High degree of self-motivation, productivity and acute attention to detail
