Our client is a successful manufacturer with a global presence, they are looking for an Extrusion Operative / Plastics Production Operative to join their team at their Chippenham site. This role will suit anyone with Plastic Extrusion experience. Experience in this field is essential.
Shift Patterns:
You will work on a 42 hour per week, 12-hour Continental Shift pattern on a 3 on 3 off basis (days and nights on rotation).
Salary:
• £23,321 + Shift Allowance (£7066) = £30,387 • Overtime is sometimes available.
Job Summary:
• Operate Extrusion production lines, producing plastic products to a high quality standard • Enter and maintain all relevant information for shop floor data collection as required • Complete autonomous maintenance tasks as per schedules
Responsibilities:

To ensure site compliance with Health and Safety policy and procedures

To ensure that all activities undertaken conform to the appropriate standards and regulations

To ensure timely extrusion line changes so that machines produce at standard output and meet the production plan requirements

Participate in the development and implementation of Chippenham improvement plans

To aid production in optimising the extrusion process, such as line speed and weight

To ensure all tooling is correctly serviced and maintained

To complete autonomous maintenance tasks as per schedules

To provide technical assistance in improvement plans, capital project and new product development

To work with other operational departments

Assisting with and progressing Training with the teams
Requirements:
-
Practical experience of Extrusion manufacturing process is essential, e.g. Tool setting, PVC, Terpolymers or Olefin processing

Previous experience of short/medium size batch production

Must be willing to take direction
