Finance Business Partner, 40178, full time permanent, hybrid working (1 day per week in Brighton office), looking for newly qualified or final year trainee with experience of project accounting and advanced Excel skills (will be tested at interview stage) for this public sector pensions company.
Looking for someone to join their management accounting team. The role will cover business partnering, all aspects of management accounting and also provide crucial support to the company's current change portfolio in supporting projects throughout their lifecycle. Lots of project work to support their cost centres and regulatory projects to help with changes to legislation.
Duties will include:
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial information for business units, Executive Board of Directors and external stakeholders.
- Providing robust review and challenge to budget holders.
- Providing expert finance support to all aspects of the project accounting process, partnering with project managers to ensure business cases are supported with high quality financial information, providing appropriate levels of challenge to assumptions and tracking financial performance on a monthly basis.
- Complete monthly reporting routines including prepayments, accruals and journals.
- Production and analysis of data to understand business performance both internally, and in comparison, with other organisations.
The Finance Business Partner role based in Brighton, needs to be comfortable working in a very manual, process driven organisation and ideally have some experience working for a similar public sector company.
Ideal candidates will be qualified or in their final year of studies with previous experience of project accounting and advanced Excel to include Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's and Formulae as will be tested at interview. Previous Business partnering experience over a range of stakeholders too. Strong academic background preferred, opportunities to progress career.
