Cardea Healthcare is a specialist healthcare recruitment agency providing home care services and staff into residential settings. We are currently recruiting for charismatic and friendly Support Worker's to work in residential settings on a shift basis.
Job Summary
The main responsibilities of the job are to support the individual's living within the services to lead fulfilled lives. Supporting a range of individuals with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting with activities and accessing the community
- Encouraging and supporting with daily living skills e.g. cooking, meal preparation, cleaning and household chores
- Assisting with personal care - either prompting or full assistance
- Working alongside other staff within the house
- Social inclusion
- Teaching life skills
- Writing accurate and factual daily reports
- Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
The following attainments and personal attributes are considered essential to the post:
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to act on your initiative
- Be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- The role involves flexible working hours, and you may be asked to work evening shifts and weekends
- Be willing to travel to different locations for shift cover
