An exciting, growing food supplements business in Leicester is seeking a Supply Chain Manager, on a full-time, permanent basis. You will lead the supply chain team from forecasting to production scheduling, as well as raw material availability. You will have prior supply chain experience in the FMCG industry.

The Role
Supply Chain Manager responsibilities:
Oversee every stage of the product process from raw material to finished product
Provide recommendations based on lead times, safety stock and target days
Ensure supply chain analyst is completing the company order sheet and performing statistical and trend analysis to identify correlations and patterns
Ensure proactive approach to availability and corrective action
Make sure team raises purchase orders to suppliers and liaise with key suppliers
Ensure the business is complaint in document support for international shipping such as customs and freight compliance
Make sure out of stocks are kept to a minimum and explaining to senior management
Make sure the scheduler is working on schedule and to at least 4 week lead time
Analyse supply chain data and solve any issues proactively
The Person
As the Supply Chain Manager:
Lead the team and manage all employee relations
You will have a relevant supply chain, logistics or business qualification
5 years experience within a supply chain FMCG environment ideally
Commercial experience also
Excellent working knowledge of stock database systems
An analytical person who is a pro-active self-starter
Advanced Excel skills with large data volumes
Live commutable distance from Leicester
Experience in an SME or start-up business environment would be beneficial
