The Day to Day - Trainee Recruitment Consultant
The day to day of a recruitment consultant involves (but is not limited to):
- Cold-calling potential new clients to gain their business
- Going to client meetings to keep up with hiring criteria
- Candidate sourcing (posting job adverts, head hunting on LinkedIn, using company databases)
- Screening CV's
- Interviewing candidates
- Liaising with clients about your candidates and booking in interviews
- Preparing candidates for interviews with your clients
- Getting feedback after interviews

What do you need to be a successful candidate?
- Recent graduate from a top university (2:1 or above)
- Experience in sales is desirable but not essential (e.g., working towards targets, working with commission)
- Played sports to a high level (played for university team, competed regionally/nationally)
- Excelled in something - e.g., academics, sports, art, music, drama etc.
- Financially motivated
- Driven, ambitious, hungry, determined!
- Confident both on and off the phone with a range of candidates and clients (you will be communicating with graduates to senior hires, as well as directors and CEO's!)
- Articulate and polished
