Job Description

This is a pivotal role that will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and representing the company in various forums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work autonomously to drive business growth through the conversion of enquiries into orders and actively promoting the company in the marketplace.
  • Develop key accounts and strategic partnerships while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maximise order value, frequency, profit, and payment terms to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and capitalise on business development opportunities.
  • Administer enquiries, quotations, and order entries efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Field Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, and Technical departments.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, attend exhibitions, and participate in networking events to expand our market presence.
  • Perform sales order review procedures and ensure thorough compliance with export regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, fostering strong relationships and understanding their unique needs.
  • Plan and participate in customer visits, trade shows, and networking events both domestically and internationally.
  • Provide coverage for other sector/customer accounts during holidays and sick leaves, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
  • Generate and distribute order status reports and sales reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of engineering markets, production processes, and technical specifications.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in account management within the engineering / manufacturing industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with export regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
