As a CAD technician, your role will be to design and draw steel frameworks for mechanical and electrical machinery with the conceptual design of thermal processing and product handling systems.

What you ll do:
  • Create detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD 2d and 3D
  • Provide a bill of materials and instructions to the fabrication shop
  • Liaise with the clients to review and revise drawings
  • R & D project work
What you ll need
  • A background in mechanical engineering design
  • An understanding of HVAC systems and/or steel construction would be advantageous
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics
  • Experience in AutoCAD 2D and 3D
What you ll get:
  • A negotiable salary of up to £45,000
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
