Job Role: CMM Programmer
Location: Leicester
Salary: 34-36k per annum
Shift: Rotating or Fixed AM

Our Client:
A leading manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace ad industrial markets are currently recruiting for a CMM Programmer to join their team at the site based in South Leicestershire.

Overall Purpose:

The CMM Programmer creates CMM programs for production inspection of new components and modifies programs using MCOSMOS ensuring that all parts are machined in line with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Creation of CMM programs using MCOSMOS for production inspection of new components.
Modifying of CMM programs using MCOSMOS.
Creation of FAI Reports using CMM Inspection or blue light scan Inspect Reports.
Creation of blue light scan Inspection Reports and programs for production inspection of new components.
Inspection/Calibration of fixtures and gauges using CMM inspection.
Liaison with internal customers on a regular basis.
Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including SOX, code of conduct and Health & Safety.

CMM Programmer specification:

Proven experience writing and editing CMM programmes using MCOSMOS.
Experience writing and editing CMM programmes using MM4 would be beneficial.
Strong mathematical ability.
Strong IT skills
CAD experience, ideally using Siemens NX.
A formal technical qualification in engineering (BTEC Level 4 / HNC) or equivalent experience, alternatively an experienced apprentice
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, notes and specifications.
Previous experience gained within Industrial Gas Turbines or Aerospace dimensional inspection would be beneficial.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce neat and precise work.
To have a structured, methodical approach to all work tasks and proven problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute in a team environment
