Our well known and highly established client based in Welham Green are currently looking for a
CNC Turner to join their team on a Permanent basis.
This is a superb opportunity for the right person who is looking to progress within the Engineering and Manufacturing industry.
The hours for this role are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday / 8am-5pm
- Friday / 8am-1pm
Experience needed as a CNC Turner:- Create programs, set, operate, and turn Mazak CNC Lathes and Star sliding head (including bar feeds)
- Produce first-off components for inspection
- Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings
- Inspect components during production to ensure drawing/spec requirements are maintained
- Participate in Continuous Improvement/Lean manufacturing activities where required
Experience needed as a CNC Turner:- Experience within programming, setting, turning, and operating Mazak 250 MSY and/or Star SR38 Type B machines
- Be conversant with Mazak (Mazatrol) controls
- Be able to read and interpret engineers drawings and tolerances
- Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC Turners role
- Strong ability to work both part of a team and individually
