Air Personnel are supporting a client for a Compliance and Safety Officer based at Kidlington Airport

It would be well suited to someone wishing to enter into Aviation in a compliance type capacity, basic aviation background would be helpful as they rest could be taught through the team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-orientated Compliance and Safety Officer to join our team covering fixed-wing and helicopters.

As a valued member of our team, you will be instrumental in aiding us as we advance our compliance and safety initiatives throughout the organisation.

This position presents a unique opportunity to cultivate expertise in auditing and safety investigation, with a primary focus on the Flight Operations and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation facets of our company. Full internal training will be given to achieve any specialised parts of this role.

Responsibilities:
- Serving as a dependable resource for the compliance and safety team, offering support across diverse areas of the company.
- Playing an integral role in advancing safety and compliance initiatives, to help foster a just culture of safety within the company by actively championing safety promotion initiatives and contributing innovative ideas to bolster engagement and awareness.
- Collaborating with department managers to craft comprehensive audit checklists.
- Distributing compliance surveys to external service providers and orchestrating safety surveys.
- Taking charge of the meeting module on Centrik for Safety and Compliance owned meetings, ensuring seamless coordination and compiling and distributing accurate meeting minutes and action points.
- Providing robust support for the investigation and resolution of safety incidents and compliance findings.
- Collaborating closely with the Compliance Manager and Safety Manager to refine and fortify the Compliance and safety management systems.
- Collecting data for analysis to measure against Safety Performance Indicators.
- Actively fostering a culture of continuous learning by empowering colleagues to navigate the compliance and safety system Centrik effectively and to provide guidance on any related concerns.
- Embracing the opportunity to tackle additional tasks assigned by the Compliance Manager or Safety Manager, contributing to the collective success of the team.
Essential Competencies/Skills:
- An aptitude for learning and absorb compliance and safety aviation principles and regulation.
- Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Strong analytical approach with excellent IT skills.
- Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude towards a fast-paced dynamic working environment.
