Design Manager- Commerical Fit-Out Project

Salter Grange is working with a leading global contractor who is seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Manager to join their team. They specialize in high-end commercial fit-out projects in Central London, delivering exceptional quality and innovative solutions. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design process for multiple commercial fit-out projects.
• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure design integrity and project specifications are met.
• Utilize CAD, SketchUp, and BIM to create, review, and refine project designs.
• Oversee design development from concept through to completion, ensuring all deliverables are on time and within budget.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and risk assessments to ensure design solutions are practical and compliant with regulations.
• Prepare and present design pitches for new projects, showcasing creativity and technical proficiency.
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to integrate design plans seamlessly into the construction phase.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards throughout the design and construction process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager in the commercial fit-out sector.
• Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, and BIM software.
• Deep understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and manage a team of designers and architects.
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
