Job Summary

The Electrical Supervisor supervises the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plant electrical, lighting, and power transmission equipment.

Compensation

Monday through Friday, hours will vary, 6:30am - 3:30pm; evening and weekend as needed. Pay range is $90k - $115k per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate work with other departments following the planned maintenance schedule of electrical equipment.
  • Maintain and update maintenance files, maintain records, and requisition repair parts and supplies.
  • Control cost, time, material, and use of outside contractors in the repair of electrical equipment.
  • Superviseall electrical department employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining.
  • Maintain quality of work, safe conditions, good housekeeping, and conduct safety meetings.
  • Promote proper safety and accident prevention attitudes and practices among employees under direction.
  • Comply with and enforce governmental rules and regulations, union contracts, company policies, and plant rules.
  • Other duties as required.
Education

Related college degree or the equivalent experience and related certifications.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • 10 years industrial/commercial electrical experience, including exposure to medium voltage 4160, PLC (Simmons Control Logix, PLC 5), and computer networking.
  • Cement plant experience preferred.
  • Proven successful leadership experience required. Experience in a union environment a plus.
  • Previous electrical maintenance project management experience.
  • Previous electrical maintenance budget development and management experience.
  • Experience working with SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Technical training in electrical technology/engineering; experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Ability to walk distances on uneven ground, ability to climb stairs and ladders at high elevations, able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Experience working in a team-based department.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required.
