Estimator

Madisons Recruitment are looking for a Construction Estimator on a permanent basis for a client located in Bedford, Bedfordshire.

Our client deliver multiple projects across multiple sectors within the Home Counties. They have a diverse portfolio working across a variety of sectors that include Residential, Education, Healthcare, and Commercial with these projects being a mixture of New Builds, Refurbishments and Fit Outs. The values of these projects typically range between £100,000 - £5 m+.

Responsibilities

• As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in operations, carrying out take-offs, bills of quantities, cost plans, and tenders for a range of clients.
• Prior experience in an estimating role along with familiarity with industry standards will be beneficial.
• Full Time office base role in Bedford 8.00 am 5 pm Monday to Friday.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in an estimating role.
• Must be fully computer literate and have excellent working and practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools.
• Taking off and preparing accurate and all-inclusive Bills of quantities.
• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
• High level of integrity.
• Proven track record of carrying out similar duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accurate eye for detail.
• Full UK driving license.
• Must be a self-motivated individual who is used to working in a team environment.
• Ability to work on their own initiative.
• Must be a quick learner.
• Experience using Causeway or similar pricing software
