Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer you will:
- Provide steel weight estimates and concept designs in full accordance with project specifications
- Work as a team member dedicated to fulfilling the design requirements of the projects
- Structural design of multi-million projects
- Preparation of clear design specifications
- Ensure drawings and structural calculations and analyses from colleagues and sub-vendors
- Assist in the development of STAAD, SAP2000, other 3D CAD systems
- Communicate with sub-contractors regarding contracted-out structural design work
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
HND / Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experiences
Experienced in 3D analysis
Knowledge of STAAD essential
Background in large scale capital construction projects
Personal skills
The Lead Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is:
Analytical and technical problem-solving skills with high level of detail
Good communication skills with experience in communicating with international clients and suppliers
Knowledge of Tekla, SAP2000, Caesar and SolidWorks
