Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a leading multi-sector manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on permanent, full-time basis in Coventry, Warwickshire.

The Role

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting the introduction and development of new projects, design changes and current production process for both current and new customers.

You will play a hands-on role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of manufacturing process and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the process and production development process working upwards from RFQ onwards and seek to improve manufacturing cycle times across the business.

You will support on design reviews, production layout changes and collaborate with new equipment suppliers to support effective integration.

The Person

The Manufacturing Engineer will have a proven track record in complex manufacturing ideally in the automotive or yellow goods sector and be familiar with manufacturing processes such as laser cutting and laser welding and any automated equipment.

You will possess ideally an Apprenticeship in Engineering or a similar subject and applicants with degree in engineering or similar are highly welcomed. Previous experience in working with PLC driven processes and any data outputs / digital connectivity are again highly welcomed for the role.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be conversant with technical drawings and be well versed in Quality Management Systems such as IATF: 16949. You will be able to work on-site daily, Monday to Friday and able to accommodate some travel to customer and supplier sites when needed (fully expensed by the business).
