Job Description

We are working with Bridges Pound to recruit to a very exciting opportunity based in Coventry.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and experience in using structural design software, analysis and 3D modelling. Knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice, and construction methods using concrete, steel, masonry and timber is essential.

What you will be doing as our Project Structural Engineer

  • Apply a thorough and methodical approach to structural design and engineering projects
  • Liaise effectively with clients, architects, site professionals and other design team members
  • Work with team members to develop structural design projects from inception to completion
  • Work on a broad range of projects to enable you to gain experience and develop skills in both permanent and temporary works, structural surveys, drainage and civil engineering schemes.

Our ideal Project Engineer will have the below skills and experience

  • A degree in Civil / Structural Engineering and have an interest or already be progressing towards Chartership Status with ICE / IStructE
  • 3-5 years of post-degree design experience
  • Proficiency in structural design and familiarity with structural engineering modelling and analysis software
  • Knowledge of UK design standards and construction methods using common building materials.

Desirable but non-essential experience

  • Use of software such as Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer
  • Experience with RAM Frame, RAM Concept, Robot and Masterseries
  • Experience in Temporary Works
  • Design of civil engineering works, including drainage, FRA reports, service yards and retaining walls
  • Use of AutoCad and Revit.
