Our client has experienced significant growth over the last 5 years. They specialise in steel-framed buildings within various sectors, including commercial, retail, industrial, and leisure. Additionally, they undertake projects in specialised areas such as bridges, football stadiums, aircraft hangars, and waste management facilities.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Tonbridge (with occasional travel to sites throughout the UK)
Contract Type: Full Time Permanent ( Hybrid)
Start Date: Immediate

Additionally, they undertake projects in specialised areas such as bridges, football stadiums, aircraft hangars, and waste management facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the cost control process for construction projects, with a focus on cladding and facades.
• Prepare bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing projects.
• Identify issues early in the project life cycle.
• Understand conditions of contract (JCT, NEC & bespoke arrangements).
• Collaborate with site managers, quantity surveyors, and the design team.

Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on facades and cladding projects.
• Knowledge of labour, plant, and material resources, including rates and outputs.
• Technical understanding of aluminium/curtain walling and different cladding systems.

Package:

• Negotiable salary based on experience.
