My client are a specialist subcontractor delivering projects across the North West and wider areas. They have gained an excellent reputation for providing high quality services to a number of leading clients across the public and private sector. Sectors they work in include commercial, education, healthcare, leisure, sports, and industrial.
They have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and work on a range of newly secured projects across the North West. You'll be based in their Wirral office, visiting sites as and when required.
The role:
- You'll be working on a range of exciting projects, helping to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget.
Your duties will include:
- Reviewing project costs for accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
- Evaluating, pricing, negotiating, and finalising budgets and costs for project scope changes
- Developing and maintaining procurement schedules.
- Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works to facilitate accurate project pricing.
- CVR reporting.
- Controlling financial aspects of projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor, or an Assistant QS ready to become a QS.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
