Rural Estate Manager - Cumbria - Client-side

As an Estate Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering the Client's strategy for Land, Outdoors, and Nature. This is a leadership role, accountable for managing all residential and commercial properties within your designated area. You will ensure that the land and property assets contribute positively to their strategic outcomes for nature, carbon, and people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Management: Oversee lease negotiations, valuations, rent reviews, and easements.
  • Performance Improvement: Analyse and report on performance indicators to optimise income and achieve strategic goals.
  • Partnership Building: Develop long-term relationships with tenants and stakeholders to enhance environmental and community benefits.
  • Dispute Resolution: Serve as the principal contact for tenants and resolve disputes.
  • Sustainable Practices: Implement innovative land management practices to deliver public benefit, carbon sequestration, and nature conservation.

Qualifications:

  • Full Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (postgraduate qualification).
  • 5+ years of experience in estate management and rural surveying.
  • Strong negotiating, communication, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of land use, agriculture, environmental issues, and sustainable development.
