Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a First School in the Redditch area. Our client is looking to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to work in a Year 2 class on a long term basis, starting as soon as possible.

Based on the outskirts of Redditch, this is a 1.5 form entry school with good local transport links and a charismatic headteacher.


The school require a Teaching Assistant to support in a Year 1 class, working with a child on a one to one (1:1) basis. The child has an EHCP with an Autism diagnosis. There is very little challenging behaviour, the child requires learning support and routine.


This Teaching assistant role is full-time and starts as soon as possible. This is expected to continue until the end of the academic year.


Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent

Experience in a Primary School or Nursery setting

Experience in Key Stage 1 is a bonus

Patient approach to teaching support

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)


Working for Flourish Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant you will receive:

Day rate up to £95 per day which equates to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

The option of PAYE or Umbrella

Holiday Pay- for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 14.36% of your day rate

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is situated on the outskirts of Redditch in a residential area. The school is easily accessible by car and public transport and has a good sized car park on site.
