Senior Quantity Surveyor in London Required!

Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious Global Tier 1 Main Contractor, seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in London.

Purpose of the Job

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the delivery of a major highway project, including subcontract administration, cost and value reporting, and main contract change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly cost and value reports.
  • Provide project cost control and advise on forecast allowances.
  • Manage and administer subcontracts, ensuring NEC3/4 compliance.
  • Oversee monthly payment processes for subcontracts.
  • Coordinate change management processes.
  • Assist in main contract change management and documentation.
  • Support the design team with cost information.
  • Assist in managing early warnings and issuing EWNs.
  • Provide commercial and financial support for subcontract procurement.
  • Oversee procurement of plant, materials, and equipment.
  • Offer contractual advice to various departments.
  • Report on contractual aspects to the commercial manager.
  • Ensure project compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Cost value engineering proposals and assess programme changes.
  • Prepare contractual correspondence and communications.
  • Manage quantity surveying staff during construction.
  • Educate the project team on NEC contract requirements.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training

  • Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and subcontract administration.
  • Experience with large civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
  • understanding of EU and UK procurement legislation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.layer with high commercial awareness.
  • Holds a CSCS Card.
  • Degree level or equivalent in a numerate or commercial discipline.
  • Member or Associate Member of RICS or CIOB, or working towards membership.
