Structural Engineer

The successful Structural Engineer will support the Sales, Project and Process Engineering teams in the production of structural calculations and design sketches.

The role will involve:

• Provide steel weight estimates and concept designs in full accordance with standards and clients' project specifications in order to assist the Sales and Process departments at the bidding stage.
• Work as a team member dedicated to fulfilling the design requirements of the projects.
• Structural design of multi-million projects.
• Preparation of clear design sketches.
• Monitor job progress within specified schedules.
• Check drawings and structural calculations and analyses from colleagues and subvendors.
• Assist in the development of STAAD, SAP2000, other 3D CAD systems and in-house standards.

To be successful in this role of Structural Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Qualifications to HND/Degree level in a mechanical or structural engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• A keen forward-looking attitude is required for problem solving engineering.
• Previous experience of working in a 3D analysis environment is essential.
• High standard of analytical & technical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
