Job Description

Our client school in Hull is seeking to employ a full time Teaching Assistant.

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
This post is for 30 hours per week, term time only
Normal working hours are from 8.45 am to 3.45 pm with an hour lunch break.

The School

The school is Specialist School for up to 200 pupils aged 3-19, whose primary learning difficulty is Autism and SLCN. Northcott is an established provision for pupils with additional needs including Autism, SLCN, MLD and SPLD.

The Position

The school is seeking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant.

The school require a committed and innovative person with a passion to work with pupils with SEN, particularly pupils with autism. The successful applicant will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to build excellent relationships with pupils. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of community and will actively engage in all aspects of the wider school life.

We require an experienced teaching assistant with a proven track record of working with pupils with additional needs in either a mainstream or specialist environment.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
