Job Description

CXC are pleased to be working with one of the worlds leading Aircraft manufacturers, in their search for a Technical Engineer. The Technical Engineer is the point of contact for production staff at the London Gatwick hangar, during the preparation and execution of customer maintenance inputs.

This is a rotating 12hr Day Shift position based at our London Gatwick Hangar facility.

Responsibilities:

  • The Technical Engineer is responsible for triaging and executing a suitable resolution to technical queries in a timely manner ensuring compliance with regulatory and company procedures, this may include dealing with OEMs and customers.
  • This person will represent the Gatwick team at all required customer meetings, as well as working closely with the Production Planning Team to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution.
  • They will form a key point of contact for customer technical representatives ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.
  • With our continued growth, this role will play a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures as well as project work in support of our continued improvement.
  • Technical assistance for the Line and Base maintenance operation at London Gatwick.
  • Provide an escalation path for all technical queries at any supported Line or Base maintenance at London Gatwick.
  • Provide liaison support between customer and/or CAMO during maintenance activity.
  • Perform technical assessments of customer provided work scopes to ensure the request falls within capability and apply technical expertise to consider likely challenges including required skills, tooling, access requirements, NDT etc.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the transcribing of customer / CAMOs maintenance data into approved work packs.
  • Ensure all supplied data from customer / CAMO is accurate.
  • Communicate with OEM / Type Certificate Holder if required on behalf of customer.
  • Work alongside production planners to aid the planning and execution of maintenance inputs.
  • Assist Production Planning in periods of Sickness and leave.
  • Monitor compliance through sampling.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a Base Maintenance / Modifications Technical Services role is highly desirable
  • Previous experience of using the AMOS system is preferable
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings / documentation.
  • Previous experience with major structural and / or avionic modification inputs is desirable.
  • Experience working with 737, 787 and/or 777 aircraft preferable.
  • Hold an EASA Part-66 B1 and/or B2 Licence and/or Aircraft Engineering Degree
