Vehicle Assembly Operative / Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a successful and well-established company. They are looking for several Vehicle Assembly Operative / Vehicle Assembler / Mechanical Fitters to join their highly reputable company. This is a permanent role (after the usual 3 months probationary period).

Salary £14.00 per hour (£12.50 basic + 12% shift allowance) + overtime paid at time and a half.

Available shifts (depending on availability):

Shift Pattern:

• Early & Late shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 6.00am 3.00pm / 2.00pm 11.00pm, rotating weekly (includes a 12% shift allowance)

This role would suit someone with a background in Vehicle / Automotive Assembly, e.g. Coach Builder / Motorhome Builder / Auto Mechanic / Fabrication Operative / Fabricator / Bench Joiner / Mechanical Fitter / Car Mechanic / or anyone who is used to working with hand and power tools, that can follow diagrams and technical instructions with precision.

General Duties:

• Assembly of vehicles, and installation of vehicle parts by following instructions
• Using hand tools, power tools and sealants
• Ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard
• Working within the health & safety guidelines
• Working in line with Company standards and H&S requirements

Requirements:

• Vehicle assembly / mechanical fitting experience will definitely be an advantage
• Experience using hand and power tools in an assembly role
• Be mechanically minded
• Reliable and hard-working
• Eye for detail
